(The "Desired solution" says "agree that it shouldn't use the carousel", but the bug is marked Won't Fix. That can't be right; returning to Fix Committed.)
** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Status: Won't Fix => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity-scope-mediascanner in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1255926 Title: [Scopes] If there is only one category in a scope it should not use the carousel Status in Ubuntu UX: Fix Committed Status in Unity Media Scanner Scope: New Status in unity-scope-mediascanner package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: When disabling online search capabilities for the Dash through systemsettings it leaves the music and video scopes with just local music/videos. In this case the grid representation would be much more useful and better looking than the carousel as the carousel leaves most of the screen space unused. Desired solution ----- If a scope is designed to only show a single category, agree that it shouldn't use the carousel. Think this should be implemented as a business rule. Note: scopes with a single category display that category expanded, as you say. --------UX comment--------- This is part of a bigger redesign project related to Scope cards and category layouts. Carousel layout has been deprecated from the Scopes toolkit.
