Are you *trying* to have mixed use of systemd-networkd and NetworkManager? Or do you just want one of them to manage network (you are starting with ubuntu server, but then installing ubuntu-desktop-minimal, which is a bit odd). 2. Is DNS supposed to be configured statically, or via DHCP? 3. For our specific use-case, we are installing ubuntu server (fully automated), then using Puppet to install desktop packages. This was working without any manual interaction previously on both Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 For the last week or so, deployments of 24.04 (22.04 is still fine) are getting stuck after installing ubuntu-desktop-minimal. The DNS server settings are lost, but IP connectivity remains.
