After compiling the kernel by myself using CONFIG_KERNEL_GZIP=y #CONFIG_KERNEL_ZSTD is not set it works as expected. Kernel boots and Xen is working as intended. Please revert to CONFIG_KERNEL_GZIP=y like in the former HWE (5.11?) series not having this problem.
