Ubuntu 15.04 (vivid) reached end-of-life on February 4, 2016. Patch will be included in all currently supported releases of Ubuntu so closing as being fixed.

This can be very annoying when editing long lines of text. A thorough discussion of this bug can be found in the Debian BTS 774492 (http://bugs.debian.org/774492) I am encountering this bug on Ubuntu 15.04 running vim 2:7.4.488-3ubuntu2. Debian fixed this issue by backporting patch 7.4.576 into the vim package 2:7.4.488-7. It would be great if Ubuntu could backport/sync.
