Title:
  I am unable to install mysql package because of the packages issue of
  ubuntu20.04

Status in vim package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  On every command mostly, I'm getting the below errors:

  1.)Options marked [*] produce a lot of output - pipe it through 'less' or
'more' !
  dpkg: error while cleaning up:
   subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
  Preparing to unpack .../5-oem-somerville-meta_20.04ubuntu9_all.deb ...
  dpkg-maintscript-helper: error: dpkg: error: unknown option --validate-version

  Type dpkg --help for help about installing and deinstalling packages [*];
  Use 'apt' or 'aptitude' for user-friendly package management;
  Type dpkg -Dhelp for a list of dpkg debug flag values;
  Type dpkg --force-help for a list of forcing options;
  Type dpkg-deb --help for help about manipulating *.deb files;

  2.)You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
  The following packages have unmet dependencies:
   fwupd : Depends: libfwupd2 (= 1.7.5-3~20.04.1) but 1.7.9-1~20.04.3 is
installed
           Depends: libfwupdplugin5 (= 1.7.5-3~20.04.1) but 1.7.9-1~20.04.3 is
installed
  E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or
specify a solution).
  Note: i am running the command 'apt --fix-broken install' but getting the
below message:
   dpkg: error while cleaning up:
   subprocess new post-removal script returned error exit status 1
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   /var/cache/apt/archives/vim_2%3a8.1.2269-1ubuntu5.20_amd64.deb
   /var/cache/apt/archives/vim-tiny_2%3a8.1.2269-1ubuntu5.20_amd64.deb
   /var/cache/apt/archives/vim-common_2%3a8.1.2269-1ubuntu5.20_all.deb
   /var/cache/apt/archives/fwupd_1.7.9-1~20.04.3_amd64.deb
   /var/cache/apt/archives/oem-somerville-meta_20.04ubuntu9_all.deb
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

  Please provide me the solution for this issue as i have wasted too
  much time, but unable to fix.
