Hello, also impacted here :) Ubuntu 22.04 + a few different Window Manager (my main is i3wm, and here is the initial investigation: https://github.com/i3/i3/issues/5059) Programs affected by the issue are Firefox and Chromium.
On this thread a temporary workaround has been found for Firefox while waiting for the fix https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1968887 set the `widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.file-picker` to `0` in the `about:config` in Firefox.
