Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug. I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709 When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+question/703672 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to apt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1995310 Title: Hash and size mismatch with http://ppa.launchpad.net/alessandro- strada/ppa/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 Status in apt package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I have a student who is trying to run apt-get update and running into errors Ubuntu config on her machine: No LSB modules are available. However, I saw a similar bug being raised https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1975865 Please could someone advise on a workaround of if this needs to be fixed somehow?
