** Description changed: I have installed Ubuntu 21.10 on my Intel NUC8I7HVK. I can't figure out how to configure my SPDIF to connect to my speaker system. I have the correct mini-Toslink to standard cable and I can see the laser light coming from the PC, so it is not likely a hardware problem. The NUC audio is Realtek SLC700. Can anyone help me properly configure my audio to recognize my SPDIF digital output and support the 5.1 Dolby surround? ----- In pavucontrol i don't see any SPDIF output, headphones work fine. pavucontrol https://www.dropbox.com/s/csq8h8afbcin9xp/1Kuvakaappaus%202021-12-14%2012-12-23.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kh6b49xc27zvx7o/2Kuvakaappaus%202021-12-14%2012-12-42.png?dl=0 Ubuntu Settings> Audio https://www.dropbox.com/s/tvdivkhfcx5g7mm/Kuvakaappaus%202021-12-13%2007-21-58.png?dl=0 Windows 10 Audio Device info: https://www.dropbox.com/s/myxdut9bjntw3xt/%C3%A4%C3%A4nikortti.PNG?dl=0 - [ 3.958528] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: autoconfig for ALC700: line_outs=1 (0x1b/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0) type:line - [ 3.958532] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: speaker_outs=0 (0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0) - [ 3.958534] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: hp_outs=1 (0x21/0x0/0x0/0x0/0x0) - [ 3.958535] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: mono: mono_out=0x0 - [ 3.958536] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: dig-out=0x1e/0x0 - [ 3.958537] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: inputs: - [ 3.958537] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: Internal Mic=0x13 - [ 3.958538] kernel: snd_hda_codec_realtek hdaudioC0D0: Internal Mic=0x12 + + Your ALSA information is located at http://alsa-project.org/db/?f=5944783d310a8a936e8de69132b60a2ca02577c7
