Title:
1.22.10-1ubuntu2.1 Sporadic WiFi network disconnect after Ubuntu 18.04
-> 20.04
Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Hi, I am getting this highly recurrent problem in which the network
inadvertently 'disconnects' for a minute or two and then automatically
reconnects. It is so recurrent that it makes browsing, maintaining an
ssh connection and simple tasks almost impossible. I find that the
network disconnects and it does not re-connect until the successful
finish of a wifi-scan. I don't know what triggers the initial
disconnect, maybe the wpa_supplicant dbus performing a
flush_object_timeout_handler. Fixing the BSSID does not seem to help
since the disconnect is still triggered but the reconnect is not
performed until a manual WiFi-scan.
I'm using the r88x2bu network driver from the rtl88x2bu-dkms package
for WiFi. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but this has not
helped.
The network-manager package version: 1.22.10-1ubuntu2.1
Here is some information about the network.

I have attached the system logs, which have the NetworkManager and
wpa_supplicant logging level set to DEBUG.
I am happy to provide any information necessary to resolve this issue. Thanks
