Title:
[Audigy - SB Audigy 1 [SB0092], playback] volume slider problem
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
When lowering volume to 0 for any of the following:
Master
PCM
Front
Surround
These also suddently drop to 0
Master
PCM
Front
Surround
Center
LFE
Master, PCM or Front makes all the other drop to 0, but Front,
Surround, Center & LFE have no effect on Master/PCM/Front
The problem arise when raising the volume: Any other channel that had
drop to zero, stays at zero.
This causes problems with any mixer that is controlling one of the three
causing the problem, as it is often the case with media keys.. This is a sure
way to kill any sound without the ability to raise it again without going into
the mixer and setting all the channels that were set to zero to something else.
I've tested with media keys (XFCE4-volumed) XFCE4-Mixer & Alsamixer. as
soon as Master reach zero, I cannot get it back up again with the same
button/channel, I have to modify at least three (Master, PCM & Front) to get
any sound back.
