Edit initramfs.conf as su. Rem out COMPRESS-lz4 line
Run update-initramfs -u - System will return with "COMPRESS parameter not set". Now edit initramfs.conf again. Remove the # on COMPRESS=lz4, run again update-initramfs -u. It will close without any error. Reboot. I just did and no more failed message. ** Attachment added: "initramfs-unpacking-decoding-failed.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1835660/+attachment/5345715/+files/initramfs-unpacking-decoding-failed.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to initramfs-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835660 Title: initramfs unpacking failed Status in initramfs-tools package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: "initramfs unpacking failed: Decoding failed", message appears on boot up.
