When 'Use only for resources on this connection' is enabled, the domains enabled in dnsmasq should be a union of dhcp-option SEARCH, dhcp-option DOMAIN, and reverse domains for networks routed via the connection. Currently only the latter two are enabled. Without 'Use only for resources on this connection' enabled, all DNS resolution does appear to go via the VPN servers, but this is not necessarily desirable, and creates a situation where users may be wedged between having their DNS work as expected, and having their routing work as expected.
