Public bug reported: So I upgraded to 19.04 and now I no longer can get the a52 working.
It worked fine on 18.10. this is the description I follow https://help.ubuntu.com/community /DigitalAC-3Pulseaudio also the package libasound2-plugins-extra that is supposed to do this for you is not working. I use the same kernel version so it's only userspace that has changed.
