Works as expected in Xubuntu 18.10. Must be something in the ubuntu- session policykit/PAM/systemd auth?
-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to software-properties in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1797649 Title: receive authentication canceled in terminal when changing options in "Other Software" Status in software-properties package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I've tried to disable some PPAs in the "Other Software" tab of software-properties and whenever I check a box for the first time I get a message in the terminal about "ERROR:root:Authentication canceled, changes have not been saved" (although an authentication dialog has not appeared) and the dialog box greys out. However, frequently upon clicking the box for a second time (when it is greyed out) I am then presented with an authentication dialog. This seems quite odd.
