You have missed the point. I am not able to play downloaded videos mp4 which are on the hard disk. Here kindly note some are plaing some are not playing . I could not sort out the reason. On windows 10 every thing is OK. It is dual boot system. Same thing happened when I upgraded from 16.04 LTE to 18.04 LTE. Then I made clean installation. The problem has not changed. I am not Linux expert, but using Ubuntu for more than 5 years.
