This didn’t get done back when it was relevant and it’s now a pointless
request. (And the issue with the Medium weights is long gone.)

Bug description:
Following on from bug #650889 ("Ubuntu Font Family 0.69+ufl would be
valuable for older releases") and bug #709980 ("SRU ubuntu-font-family
0.70.1 for *") it would be useful to make 0.71.2 available in older
maintained releases:
<thorwil> hmm, i have no light cut of the Ubuntu font at all
<thorwil> 0.70.1-0 claims to be latest ttf-ubuntu-font-family [... in
Maverick]
Note that because of bug #744812 ("FontConfig/Qt stack choke on Ubuntu
Medium font meta-data (No medium in Inkscape and too bold in Qt
apps)"), the Medium ('Ubuntu-M.ttf' and 'Ubuntu-MI.ttf') should be
dropped from the binary before backporting/SRUing.
