If it's any consolation, I mean I know this is an Ubuntu forum, but my Manjaro system finally works with Bluetooth A2DP, no skipping and no delay!
A few weeks ago some major updates were pushed and seems to be working ever since. Granted, the BT headphones connect as HSP and the default BT tools will not switch it to A2DP, but that is where you download "BLUEMAN" and just run through the setup for the particular device as Audio Sink. Once it is connected, it is working and has been working for two weeks. It was working fine in Jaunty. My headphones are detected and configured by pulse, but the audio skips as if it's spending half of each second paused.
