Hi Daniel, thanks for your comments. I noted this issue initially with proposed zesty (bluez 5.43-0ubuntu1.1 and 4.10.0-38-generic kernel), and filed this report on zesty with ubuntu-bug.
And then I recalled when I was playing around with proposed xenail (bluez 5.37-0ubuntu5.1 and 4.4.0-98.121 kernel) and it seems that I had the same issue.
