We never really figured out the exact cause but we suspect it was either reflux or food related. There was a particular brand of milk (Goldenrod) that we would pick up from the local convenient store sometimes and it seemed to coincide with that. He doesn't have any reflux issues or food allergies now. He kind of just stopped doing it at around 3 year old. The only thing is anything Flaming Hot flavored like chips or cheetoes will make him throw up every time, usually in the night. We haven't encountered any other foods that do this to him.
