Thanks for reporting this issue and help making Ubuntu better. We are
sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported
bugs in a timely manner. The good news is that ncurses seems to have
been merged several times since this was originally reported. I
therefore believe it can be marked as fixed. (Or alternatively as a
duplicate of bug 1637239 which covers merging the current latest version
from Debian)

Bug description:
Hi,
There have been three new versions in Debian since the last sync with
Ubuntu. These new versions include fixes for many bugs (11 Closes
statements since last sync plus whatever was fixed by upstream and not
reported to Debian).
Please merge this new version.
