Title:
  No sound with and without pulseaudio installed. Maybe alsa problem

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  After hibernation on asus f83fv playback was not worked. After this I
  have removed pulseaudio, but now there are no sound with or without
  it. Sound levels in alsamixer is normal and console audio tools such
  as mocp works as sound is muted.
