Installer crashed minutes before finishing the install. No indication why, just
showed on screen that the installer crashed and that a report would be send to
an expert technician.
I followed the instructions as they showed up on screen. Did not see anything
at all while watching the install why the installer crashed, it just quit
installing. The only way I knew was because the message on screen said so.
This was a new install on newly purchased hard drive, following the
instructions as of how to install Ubuntu from a printout pulled from the
internet.
I was trying to get a way from WIndows after having it running side by
side with Ubuntu on this Gateway MX8711 laptop. To make sure that I
would not have any problems I purchased the new drive.
Sure hope that you may be able to help me with this. I cant go back to
Windows as I don't have a OS disk for it, it was pre-installed.
Thank you.

The installer indicate that it would send a complete report on line to
where it should go and this request for more info. Sorry that I have
noting more to help you with. Just, started install, went fine until
just seconds or minutes before it should have been completed.
