Public bug reported:

ubuntu 17.04 unity8

tiled - enabling hardware accelerated drawing spawns new windows/instances
forever
if you don't have tiled install (it's a qt5 app) "apt install tiled"
launch tiled without Xmir
from Preferences enable Hardware accelerated drawing (OpenGL) see screenshot
should now start to spawn multiple instances/windows for ever. if it doesn't
click on new project (should be the same)

in unity7 seems to work fine
