There is nothing in the syslog or anywhere else. This can be reproduced on Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04. Enabling the adapter works, but the freeze occurs as soon as I try to log into the network. This used to work, but has been broken for a few weeks I assume. It happens with all USB adapters I tested, on all machines.
