Hello David, or anyone else affected, Accepted webbrowser-app into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/webbrowser- app/0.23+16.04.20161028-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Previously, the SAML detection logic was ensuring this extra authentication step was allowed, even if URLs were falling outside of the webapps defined set. [Test case for verification] The fix comes with an autopilot test. To run the autopilot tests for the webapp container, install webapp-container-autopilot, and run `autopilot3 run webapp_container`. All the test cases should pass.
