Public bug reported: What Happened: 1) Open the webbrowser-app 2) Start typing in the address bar to reveal suggestions, eg type "BBC" 3) Move the cursor/focus to the first suggested item (by pressing down arrow) 4) Start attempting to type, to edit the address bar (eg to add "News" or "Sport") 5) Notice that typing does not work as the field is not focused
What I expected to happen: At step 4 if you have a suggestion focused and you start to type it should focus the address bar. Note that other browsers, eg Firefox and Chrome, both do the expected case. ** Affects: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1634436 Title: When focus is given to a suggestion, typing should move the focus back to the address bar Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: What Happened: 1) Open the webbrowser-app 2) Start typing in the address bar to reveal suggestions, eg type "BBC" 3) Move the cursor/focus to the first suggested item (by pressing down arrow) 4) Start attempting to type, to edit the address bar (eg to add "News" or "Sport") 5) Notice that typing does not work as the field is not focused What I expected to happen: At step 4 if you have a suggestion focused and you start to type it should focus the address bar.
