Cursor disappeared.

Bug description:
After upgrade from 14.04 to 16.04. On-line, found a "fix:" CTL+ALT+F1
followed by CTL+ALT+F7. Also installing GDL. I don't know which
worked, or if the bug is fixed, but I got the cursor back and haven't
lost it again this session. We'll see what happens with next re-boot.
