Public bug reported: We're attempting to add an apparmor profile to the maliit-server process, however once maliit is confined all apps trigger the following denial:
Jul 26 14:32:42 ubuntu-phablet dbus[1876]: apparmor="DENIED" operation="dbus_method_call" bus="session" path="/org/maliit/server/address" interface="org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties" member="Get" mask="send" name="org.maliit.server" pid=17462 label="messaging-app" peer_pid=18590 peer_label="maliit-server" I think the default profile needs to be updated to allow for this communication, since all apps should be able to use the keyboard without special permissions (and we don't want a situation where all app profiles have to be updated to provide access) ** Affects: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1606595 Title: Default profile should allow communication with maliit-server Status in apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: We're attempting to add an apparmor profile to the maliit-server process, however once maliit is confined all apps trigger the following denial: Jul 26 14:32:42 ubuntu-phablet dbus[1876]: apparmor="DENIED" operation="dbus_method_call" bus="session" path="/org/maliit/server/address" interface="org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties" member="Get" mask="send" name="org.maliit.server" pid=17462 label="messaging-app" peer_pid=18590 peer_label="maliit-server" I think the default profile needs to be updated to allow for this communication, since all apps should be able to use the keyboard without special permissions (and we don't want a situation where all app profiles have to be updated to provide access) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu/+bug/1606595/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
