Public bug reported: I tried submitting a bug on this a few days ago but it seems it never went through. At any rate, my system will freeze completely at random anytime I'm using a graphic intensive program. For example, the Steam app, SuperTuxKart or most recently while watching a movie online in Firefox and while using my HDMI output to TV. This happens with or without the HDMI, in case that's important.
At any rate, when the freeze occurs, there is nothing short of holding the power button and doing a hard reboot that will stop it. I am relearning Unix and feel comfortable doing any debugging required, given instruction. I really love my Ubuntu and don't want to go back to Windows, but this is shackling me!
