(I know I'm testing a beta distribution) Upon installation the boot went OK, after which I've upgraded the system (apt-get update; apt-get upgrade). After that all normal boots keep blocking while displaying the same message. I've left the system as is for a longer period, but no progress is made. I'm only able to access the system via "recovery mode" and then first option. Text displayed on the monitor: fsck from util-linux-ng 2.17.2 /dev/sda1: clean, ... It could off course be the program after fsck is blocking. 1) :~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04 2) :~$ apt-cache policy util-linux util-linux: Installed: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.17.2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) I expect the boot to complete to the login: prompt (it is a server installation) 4) The boot blocked with the message previously described Gerben ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: util-linux 2.17.2-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-16.25-generic Uname: Linux 2.6.32-16-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Mar 30 21:59:30 2010 InstallationMedia: Error: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/log/installer/media-info' ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: util-linux To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/552018/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
