Not related to the assertion but I got a Netbook with such a chip and it was easily falling back to slow GPU/driver pathes. I remember for instance transcendental functions in pixel shaders (sin, cos, etc) taking ~1 sec to complete. So we could be hitting such an issue. Last time I checked QtQuick didn't use trigo though (except in visualisation debug modes).
