Unity8 is under active development and changes often, but changes only
go into the next Ubuntu release while it's under development.
As Ubuntu 16.04 is now released, please try that one and tell us if it
fixes your problems.

Bug description:
Downloaded the ubuntu desktop next iso on 21.02.2015, and installed it on
laptop with switchable AMD graphics card. I am NOT using the catalyst driver
and so unity 8 should run on open source drivers last time i checked.
I'm unable to get past the language selection screen at Hi! Welcome to ubuntu
phone. I'm also not able to select any other language as there is not drop down
list when i click the language selection box. I'm also unable to click the
continue button as the button itself is not clickable.
Same issue on ubuntu-desktop-session-mir package installed on fresh install
of Vivid Vevret(unity 7 base).
It should be noted that the unity 8 session works perfectly(as its supposed
to for now) in the live cd/usb mode
