Public bug reported: Operating System : Debian GNU/Linux 7.9 (wheezy) Package Name : python-apt Package Version : 0.8.8.2 Architecture : amd64
The display of an installation with python-apt is quite different with apt when the quiet option is set. This quiet option is very useful when we log into a file because it doesn't display the progress percentage. python-apt should have the same behaviour than apt, meaning the class "AcquireProgress" in "apt/progress/text.py" file should check and take into consideration the quiet option. (Sorry for my English, I hope you won't have any problem of understanding) ** Affects: python-apt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to python-apt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575677 Title: Progress text even in quiet mode Status in python-apt package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Operating System : Debian GNU/Linux 7.9 (wheezy) Package Name : python-apt Package Version : 0.8.8.2 Architecture : amd64 The display of an installation with python-apt is quite different with apt when the quiet option is set.
