While this may be premature on the phone, do remember that Mark said Ubuntu 16.04 will have support for snaps (or was it click packages). So If I am able to run the latest clock-app or any of the core apps on 16.04 regardless of whether the host 16.04 system has the latest dependencies, I consider this bug report worth resolving.
