Public bug reported: On occasions, like when trying to install Gimp via the Software Centre, the display distorts so that it is not readable. Sometimes moving the mouse around frantically puts the screen temporarily to a state where it is again readable but then distorts again almost immediately. Opening other apps, or going to a terminal screen, and then back sometimes gets the display back to normal and I can get some work done. Highly annoying and very unproductive so have had to move other business machines back to 15.04 which did not display the problem.
Maybe not related but sometimes the terminal (in a window) loses the mouse and seems the only way to recover is to restart the terminal. Also mousing over the Launch (Unity) menu bar sometimes leaves traces of the tooltips on the screen. Working in OpenOffice/LibreOffice - sometimes small bits of text are slightly garbled. Scrolling to move the affected text off the screen and then back on corrects the display. mike@GX520:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 15.10 Release: 15.10 Probably the same issue as bug #1540001.
