Also have occasional freezes. Running the latest OTA7 on Nexus 4 but had this behaviour before. Today it happened twice. Last time it happened after I received a SMS message. Turned the screen on and off and after some time I was able to enter the app. First time this morning I couldn't pick up a call. I just let it rang and after some time (the call already stopped) I was able to work with the phone again.
Only thing I can do in those situations is going to standby and wake. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1505802 Title: System freezes daily Status in Ubuntu UX: Invalid Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: After the update to OTA-6 my phone freezes very frequently, almost every day once. I just tried to go through all the steps and it appeared again. 1. Send a message to myself 2. lock the screen after the message was sent 3. screen comes on and displays the message notification correctly 4. I try to unlock the screen, but not left nor right swipe works, pulling down the indicators does neighter. Pressing any of the hardware buttons has no effect. I wait but the screen doesn't get locked after the specified time. When charging the battery icons changes, but still no input is recognized. Only possibility is to force reboot with holding all three hardware buttons for 15 seconds. I had this freeze also in other situations, and it doesn't appear on every incoming message - luckily!
