The video scope invokes the browser (through URL dispatcher) with a URL of the form "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=$id" where $id is the unique ID of the video.
This redirects to "https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=$id", but the SD version of the video page is loaded, and this won’t play because it’s served over RTSP. The HD version of the page plays fine. Reloading the page "fixes" the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1499394 Title: Webbrowser doesn't play some YouTube videos Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Test case. - Go to Videos scope. - Go to popular YouTube videos section. - Tap on a video. - After the webbrowser opens, tap on the video to play it.
