Hi Shohba,

Congratulations on organizing openSUSE.Asia! Good for you! Instructors have
recently shared what they're doing in class and I'm sure you'll find some
student-friendly projects in that set.

Hi! Dear Heidi and Chris,

It is absolutely a fantastic initiative. I have carefully read all the shared
articles and material.
They are extremely informative and inspirational. I also dreamt of opening such
a program at my university in India.
I have a FOSS developer group here. They recently participated in the GitLab
hackathon and Learned how to contribute.
We also organized openSUSE.Asia virtual summit 2021 this year in the online
mode.
I need guidance and support to make my students participate in research and
contribute to OS humanitarian/projects.
Students have lots of potentials, in order to leverage their potentials we can
start collaborating with you.
Like, I can make my students aware of your ongoing projects, they can study and
contribute if possible.
After getting an idea they may start their own projects. They may participate
in your OPSO conferences etc.

Looking forward to your views and suggestions.

Thanks and Regards,

FYI we wrote a small case study at the TODO Group for RIT and other Academic
OSPOs:

We are also adding academic/research institutions that have OSPOs to the OSPO
Landscape, if you know other organizations that have one, let us know!

Hi Folks,

Open Source Programs Offices (OSPOs) are starting to be adopted by
academic institutions to help manage open source within their campuses.
Opensource.com has an article on RIT's recent establishment of an OSPO
that I thought you might be interested in:

Note that Johns Hopkins also has an OSPO.

Enjoy!
