Greetings, The application period for the December to March Outreachy internships is now open! We're looking for teachers to promote the internship program to students who are interested in free and open source software.
Outreachy is a remote, paid internship program. Interns receive a $5,500 stipend (total) for three months of work. There is a $500 travel stipend available for interns to travel to an event or conference that is related to their internship. The Outreachy internships are completely remote; interns don't have to move, and mentors are also remote. Interns receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced contributors to free and open source software. Outreachy supports diversity in free and open source software. Anyone over 18 who meets our eligibility rules is welcome to apply. We explicitly invite anyone who is from a group that is underrepresented in the technology industry of their country to apply. We explicitly invite anyone who faces discrimination or systemic bias to apply. https://www.outreachy.org/apply/ The application period for our December to March internships is now open. Outreachy internships run twice a year: December to March, and May to August. We require that applicants have at least 49 days free from full-time commitments during the internship period. Students in the southern hemisphere are typically eligible for the December to March round, which aligns with their summer break. Students from the northern hemisphere are typically eligible for the May to August round. Any student who is taking a half-time course load or less is encouraged to apply to either round.
