This is a reintroduction since I'm a POSSE graduate from a number of years ago. For about a year I have been leading an HFOSS project to develop an energy dashboard. The Open Energy Dashboard, or OED, is on GitHub <https://github.com/OpenEnergyDashboard/OED> with webpages <https://openenergydashboard.github.io/>. The basic idea is to provide a way to read energy meters and display the information for sustainability to the benefit of people using the energy as well as energy managers and sustainability coordinators. We have multiple users and a current team of 8 student developers who are rapidly developing the system. I'm writing TOS because we now have the base system done using JavaScript with React (along with a lot of other packages) so we are in a position and wish to expand the project to include other developers. Anyone interested in working on this project as an individual or a group is welcome to contact us ( o...@beloit.edu). We will work to mentor in new developers where there is a range of potential work to be done. I want students to work with others from different institutions so mentoring is both by myself and students where tasks can encompass students from multiple institutions. This is a particularly exciting time for OED as a recent one hour presentation <https://ww4.aievolution.com/ash1701/index.cfm?do=ev.viewEv&ev=2007> at AASHE (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) 2017 conference generated interest and new users (60-70 people attended). If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas then please do not hesitate to contact me.
All the best, Steve
