Hi Folks,

As the SIGCSE deadlines approach, the OpenFE team is looking for POSSE or
other FOSS-teaching workshop alumni to join us in a materials sprint the
Weds before SIGCSE in March. The team is expanding on POSSE materials to
create a set of materials for a faculty development workshop to be offered
likely in June.

The goal of the day will be to assess and expand existing education
materials designed to prepare instructors to support student involvement in
FOSS. The working meeting will also address instructional materials for
undergraduates that can be shared.

Who should attend: Educators who have participated in the Red Hat POSSE
program or any of the humanitarian FOSS workshops (e.g., HFOSS, SoftHum, or
HumIT). Instructors who have supported some form of student participation in
FOSS projects without attending a workshop are also welcome and particularly
encouraged to attend. We want to expand the community!

When: Wednesday, March 6th, 9:00 - 4:30

Where: Denver, CO - in the SIGCSE 2013 venue
There is no cost to attend. The organizers will provide breaks, lunch, and
dinner for the workshop. Participants must cover their own expenses for
transportation, lodging, etc.

If you would like to attend, please email either Greg Hislop
(hisl...@drexel.edu), or Darci Burdge (darci.bur...@ncc.edu).
We hope to see you at SIGCSE!
