Thanks Daniel. I have below questions. When you mean Dump , I think, these repositories will not be available for any later retrieval right. Dump means extracting all revision data to a local text file which you can then import to a new repository. Obviously, to reduce disk usage you need to remove the original repository, at which time it is no longer available. Does deletion not reduce the svn storage consumed? No, not at the repository. Subversion is a version control system, it ensures it is possible to go back in time to a previous point (revision) and see exactly what was in the repository at that time. It would not be possible to do that if you could delete a file from the repository.
