I don't think I'm being very clear I guess. Let's say I've done "Check for Modifications" in my working copy from the context menu. If I double click on one of the binary files, TortoiseMerge starts up with a dialog stating "The file... is not a valid text file!" I think it would be good to have a TortoiseSVN setting where we can specify a default diff/merge tool when binary files are encountered so that instead of showing that error, the default compare tool is opened. This keeps from having to have specific rules specified within TortoiseSVN for each individual binary file pattern I may encounter.
I don't see how setting the svn:mime-type property can be used to do this. Thanks!
