I just tried https://nightlybuilds.tortoisesvn.net/1.12.x/x64/full/TortoiseSVN-1.12.0.28572-dev-x64-ipv6-svn-1.12.0.msi on the VM I had been using to test v1.12.0.
Using the Repo-browser from the nightly build I was able to successfully navigate to the folder that had previously been problematic. Many thanks for your prompt response.
