try the svn command line client (just enable it when you install TSVN).
What command do you use when you "connect to the remote svn server"? 
Update? Checkout?
then try the same with the command line:
$ svn up .
$ svn checkout https://myremote-xxx.com/svn/repositoryName workingcopy
$ svn list https://myremote-xxx.com/svn/repositoryName -v
