It did not help me, i have the slowdown with CFG turned off. And as far as I know, control flow guard protection works only in applications that are compiled to use it. So the advice to turn it off is a kind of "viral fix". Many people turn it off, reboot and see that applications have started to work a little bit faster, although this is only due to the fact of rebooting.
