Was this ever resolved? I am having the same problem. I have a 64 bit OS, TortoiseSVN and VisualSVN. In trying to upgrade VisualSVN, it said the version of TortoiseSVN that I have install is incompatible. I uninstalled TortoiseSVN. When I try to install the latest version of TortoiseSVN x86 it says I should be installing the 64 bit version instead. When I try to install the 64 bit version, it says it won't install until I uninstall the x86 version. As far as I can tell, it is uninstalled. I've even used a file unlocker to make sure I've thoroughly deleted all old files from both versions and scoured the registry to delete anything related to tortoise.
