Hi Jack,
The network-manager bug in the LiveISO is a really squirly bug that
showed up and disappeared and then showed up again. I am not entirely
sure where to look to get rid of it, so I decided to focus on the Debian
version. It has 4 more years of support for the non PAE kernel, so I
think it is better to get out first, since there is longer support and
works quite well, has newer software and is virtually the same as the
precise version.
Installing restricted extras (well... my version I suppose) works
nicely, as well as searching and installing software from the tray icon.
We just need more testing on it. I want to release something ASAP, and
the Debian version is the one with the least amount of bugs (the visual
bug of pcmanfm moving in the live CD, and maybe a few other visual bugs...)
The goal is to release ToriOS this month, from what Ali said, and the
Debian version is our best candidate for it.
