Hi Jack and Israel, It worked for me to change from white to yellow text. I did not do it twice to make it survive.
Maybe this is also a problem caused by the faulty reboot directly inside the OBI. Jack, can you install a system, quit from the OBI and then reboot the computer and boot into the installed system?
