Ok Jack,
I removed it from the base tarball
The tarball was 341.7MiB nut after removing the rouge desktop file and doing some cleanup we now are down to 339.7 MiB
So I am removing things from the ISO.
We do not need grub on the ISO (OBI uses grub that exists in the tarball via chroot)
And I removed gddrescue
I figure users can install it IF they need.
I hope this brings it down a bit more
The tarball size will being it down 5 MiB (710ish MiB)
And removing grub and gddrescue may bring it down the extra 10 MiB we need.
Worse case scenario we can try to remove the firmware and see if it still downloads correctly....
We shall see if that is even needed.
I would like it to be CD sized, Lubuntu is suffering from not having a CD sized ISO (at least Nio has opened a discussion about this) We can also make a large ISO that has extra software in the tarball and everything in the ISO at some point.

Hi Israel,

Good news - rev. 285 of torios-desktop fixed the double icons problem I found.

Extra items in the 'firstrun' script look useful reminders.

Hey Jack,
The double Icons *should* be fixed if you update your system.
Once the package builds.
It will be torios-desktop
revision 285

I may remove seamonkey, since it is from sourceforge (for Debian/Ubuntu)
I will look into it some, but I am rather wary of sourceforge these days :(

I can fix the vim desktop app via an update, I suppose, otherwise I will rebuild and remove it. Most new users would be quite perplexed using vim/vi
Can you post
cat /usr/share/applications/vim.desktop
for me?
It might be easy to fix, but it would also probably be better to hide it from the users.
Most vi/vim users would probably use a terminal to edit things
Same with nano/pico

Did you like the extra items in the firstrun script??

    Hi Israel,

    1) Installed and updated, but noticed I'm getting 2 battery icons
and 2 volume indicators in top panel (see picture).

    2) Also Apps -> Accessories -> Vim just flashed a window but
    nothing resulted.

    Cheers,
    JackT.
